Nineprist Canyon

Nineprist Canyon

I felt the need to get a little outdoors into today’s dungeon map… So here we are: Nineprist Canyon …

The Nineprist River enters from the North west and flows through the Nineprist Canyon. From the flatter more open country to the North East and flowing into the Nineprist River, comes the Silver River (named for the silver mines at it’s source). Old Thom's Hideaway

Mapping inspiration has struck once again…

This is “Old Thom’s Hideaway”

TFifnen-Island

Twenty Fifteen …

I had a fancy to create a whole world… … … well I discovered that a whole world is an awful lot bigger than I thought! So I dreamed up an island instead.Maybe other lands can be added later and eventually a whole world will exist…

T’fifnen Island is an old dormant volcano, so huge that the island is over 300km across.

I haven’t populated it with rivers, forests, towns or locations etc yet. Never mind history, culture, technology, etc… and since it is a volcanic island, I have just realised that cave systems are going to be limited to lava tubes, sink holes into the lava tubes, spaces created by rock falls, erosion in rock weaknesses & cracks and ‘people-made’ spaces…. actually, those limitations are sounding kinda interesting!

I do have a few ideas already…

Hidden Vale

Every Adventure begins with a single step, post, stroke of the pen…

Some of my earliest memories are of map drawing, usually cubby-house plans drawn in the sand pit or made out of lego. For the last several years I have toyed with the idea of learning how to draw maps… finally, I have created my first (finished) one:

Hidden Vale
